Want clarity instead of confusion?
Energeia is a concept created by Aristotle. He used the term to describe either work or the result. It came to be understood later that he considered that 'the work was its own reward'. In the Bible, the word was used to describe superhuman power.
Nothing could be more appropriate, then, for teaching and coaching security management practitioners.
After all, security work is never 'finished', and we're unlikely to be getting any applause for what we do, even if it could be. So, the work has to be its own reward. And it takes a very particular kind of person to do it well.
